The customer contacted us due to a leak coming in through their roof that was causing water damage in their home. When we arrived, we were the third Roofing Contractor to visit the property.
Once on the roof it was very clear that it was ready to be replaced. As you can see in the photos there are damaged shingles throughout the roof, delaminating shingles, warping shingles, and significant granular loss.
As we looked closer, we found on the slope of the main house, we found Original Cedar Shingles that a roofer left and Overlayed with Asphalt Shingles at some point. We took a trip to the attic where we could see the Cedar Shingles through the Purlins. It is very important to hire a contractor that knows what to look for so there will be no surprises during the job for the homeowner. This means once both the Asphalt Shingles & Cedar Shingles are stripped, we need to install Plywood Decking before installing the New Roof. To Learn more about Cedar Roofs Click Here.
Our client chose to install GAF Timberline HDZ Shingles in the Charcoal color which looks great great on their home. Click Here to take a look at some of the Shingle Colors we offer.
