This was an Exciting Project for us because our client wanted to Remove the Original Cedar Roof and Install a Standing Seam Metal Roof to match the other section that the Previous Homeowners had roofed. Fortunately, we were able to Color Match the New Section with the same Drexel Metals 450SL Standing Seam Roofing Panels in 16" Width.
Removal of Existing Cedar Roof to Prepare for Underlayment and Metal Roof Installation
We detached all the Cedar Siding around the Sidewalls & Headwalls to Properly Flash the Metal Panels. The purpose of this is to Prevent Water Intrusion at Common Leak Points where the Roof meets the House. Once the Metal Panels were installed, our crew installed New Primed R&R Red Cedar Shingles over the New Metal Roof Flashing to Match the Home's Original Architecture. These Shingles are now ready for paint.
